The Great Southeast Pollinator Census

August 24 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm EDT

Join your Cherokee County Master Gardeners to learn about the roles that beneficial insects play in our environment! Then we will head to the garden to participate in the annual Great Southeast Pollinator Census. This event is appropriate for all ages, so bring the whole family for a fun morning of counting butterflies, bees, and other pollinators that are in common in Cherokee County gardens.

The Pollinator Census is a citizen science project created by the University of Georgia. This project is designed for everyone to participate and make a difference in pollinator conservation! You can count pollinators anywhere you find a plant in bloom and then upload your data to the state website.

We are counting Pollinators at three locations on August 24. Find the location close to you and join us for a fun morning of watching pollinators at work.
