Creating a sea of color with infinite combinations, the daylily can transform your landscape.  The Cherokee County Master Gardeners and the Cherokee County UGA Extension will help you understand this flower that returns every year and is as hardy as the day is long.  And if you want to, you can breed/hybridize daylilies and create your own.  Cherokee County Master Gardeners, in collaboration with Woodstock Parks and Rec will present a class on a summer blooming favorite, the daylily.  Join Master Gardener Mike Lloyd as he shares his best tips for growing daylilies.  Mike started his gardening passion when he was a grad student at Purdue.  He was taught by the best, a farmer’s daughter.  That was nearly 50 years ago.  Mike has been tending a garden ever since.  He was a master gardener in Arkansas and was the president of a local daylily club there.  Daylilies are among his favorite flowers.  He and his wife Cindy tend an extensive daylily garden at their home.  They enjoy sharing their gardening knowledge with others.  Please use this link to register, a low $5 entry fee is charged by Woodstock Parks and Rec.
